Heady stuff for a preteen back in the day, let me tell you. (I said something a while back about not realizing evil could be attractive until I was older, which made me realize that I must not have thought Jareth was evil. And then I realized that, as a kid with a sister seven years younger, I viewed Labyrinth as a tragedy of opportunities lost, SARAH.)
Suddenly considering polling everyone I know and plotting feelings about Labyrinth vs. birth order.

Dude, I’m the YOUNGEST and I think she was an idiot.
Oldest sibling here: Sarah made a horrible mistake.
The movie was not only a childhood staple, it came out the year before my brother was born. So, I was a three-year-old with a new baby resentment, and my mom let me watch Labyrinth. Needless to say, it wasn’t a terribly uncommon occurrence to find me standing next to his crib shouting for the Goblin King to take my brother away.
I’d still trade my brother for Jareth, to be honest.
I love my little brother. But he would have made a terrific goblin. Still would.
I am the youngest, and my sister used to say the words.
